Accessibility Statement
The site is accessible to all users
Last updated: June 2026.
Posidon — The Sailing School attaches great importance to providing equal and accessible service to all users, including people with disabilities, and is committed to making the website accessible and to its ongoing improvement.
Laws and standards
We work to make the website accessible in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998 and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Service), 5773–2013 (including Regulation 34 and Chapter E, Section C — internet services), and in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA. In addition, we implement improvements according to WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 as far as possible (click targets, visible focus and more).
Accessibility level and target
The accessibility target of the website is level AA. We work to achieve it on an ongoing basis; there may be components in which conformance is partial. This statement does not constitute confirmation of full conformance with the standard and does not replace the opinion of a certified accessibility auditor.
Accessibility arrangements on the website
- Dedicated accessibility menu (a floating button on every page): tailored profiles (visually impaired, attention, epilepsy, dyslexia, seniors), contrast adjustment, text enlargement and zoom, readable font, letter spacing, link highlighting, stopping animations, hiding images, highlighted keyboard focus, navigation between page regions, text-to-speech and voice commands (in supporting browsers). Preferences are saved in the browser.
- Full keyboard navigation and a "skip to main content" link.
- Hierarchical semantic structure (headings, landmarks, nav/main/footer) for compatibility with screen readers.
- Alternative text (alt) for meaningful images.
- Readable contrast and text sizes, respect for the prefers-reduced-motion preference, and a mobile-adapted design.
Required technical conditions
The website was built to support up-to-date browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile, with JavaScript enabled. You can use the browser's display magnification (zoom) up to 200% without loss of content. Some accessibility-menu functions (text-to-speech, voice commands) depend on browser support.
Assistive technologies tested
The website was tested primarily with full keyboard navigation, the NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers, and browser display magnification. There may be differences between combinations of browser / assistive technology.
Known accessibility limitations
We continuously improve the website's accessibility. It is possible that certain components or content have not yet been made fully accessible — we are working to correct this. If you encounter a difficulty, we would be glad if you let us know and we will address it promptly.
Third-party content — partial conformance
The website includes third-party components and services that are not fully under our control, and their accessibility may be partial: embedding of YouTube videos (live broadcast), the Windy weather map, the Instagram feed, links to government websites (gov.il), WhatsApp conversations and PDF files. We work to select accessible providers and to offer alternatives where necessary.
Accessibility arrangements at the organization
Our activity takes place at the Blue Marina Ashdod (1 Union Street, Ashdod). To receive in-person service or to coordinate a physical accessibility adjustment — you may contact us in advance by phone or email and we will be glad to assist.
